Accessibility Statement
Florio Golf Ltd. is committed to making floriogolf.org accessible to everyone, including disabled people. Accessible design is part of making Florio useful, readable, and safe for as many people as possible.
Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of conditions, including those affecting sight, hearing, mobility, cognition, and speech.
We also aim to meet our responsibilities under the Equality Act 2010, including making reasonable adjustments so disabled people can access our website and services.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA while we continue testing and improving the site. That means we have built accessibility into the main design and components, but we have not yet completed a full independent accessibility audit of every page, form, and dynamic feature.
We review accessibility as the website changes and will update this statement when we complete further checks or fix known issues.
What we have built in
Navigation and interaction
- Core navigation and key actions are designed to work with a keyboard
- Interactive elements use visible focus states where they have been reviewed
- Navigation menus use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and expanded states where needed
- Dropdown and mobile menus can be opened and closed using keyboard controls
Visual design
- Text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG 2.2 AA contrast requirements
- Information is not conveyed by colour alone. Text labels and icons are used alongside colour
- Layouts are designed to support text resizing and responsive viewing across common screen sizes
Content
- Informative images are intended to have meaningful alternative text
- Decorative images are intended to be marked so screen readers can skip them
- Pages use a structured heading hierarchy
- Link text is written to describe where the link goes or what it does
- Pages have descriptive title tags
Motion and animation
- We respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query where motion has been reviewed. Users who have requested reduced motion in their system preferences should see major animations and transitions disabled or minimised.
Get Support modal
- The Get Support modal provides quick access to crisis and support services from the site navigation
- It uses native dialog behaviour with focus management while open
- It can be dismissed using the Escape key
- It uses screen-reader labelling through its visible heading
Known limitations
We are continuing to test the website. At the moment, the areas most likely to need further review are:
- Newer pages and dynamic components that rely on JavaScript
- Third-party websites and platforms that we link to but do not control
- Podcast or audio content where transcript coverage still needs checking, especially where transcript links are not available
- Embedded or CMS-managed content added after this statement was last reviewed
If you find something that does not work for you, please tell us using the contact details below. We treat accessibility reports seriously and will fix issues as quickly as we can.
Testing
This statement was last reviewed in June 2026. It is based on internal checks of the website and codebase. We use a combination of:
- Keyboard-only navigation testing
- Screen reader checks, including VoiceOver on Apple devices where available
- Automated accessibility checks
- Manual review against WCAG 2.2 AA criteria
- Code review of navigation, forms, modals, images, headings, and reduced-motion handling
How to report an issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website, something that is not working as expected for you, or that prevents you from accessing any part of the site, please let us know. We take these reports seriously.

- The page URL or feature where the issue happened

Enforcement and further help
